Remembering Cooper

Many of you know the very sad story of how we had to let Cooper go in mid-September.  For those who don't, we had to put him to sleep shortly after he turned eight, which is young for a West Highland Terrier, because he was going into kidney failure.  He had struggled with some major health issues for about five months prior to that, and the vet thought we were on the right track and he would be with us for a few more years.  Sadly, that didn't turn out to be the case.

It has been difficult adjusting to his absence, especially for me.  He used to sleep on my pillow above my head every night, and he's not there anymore.  This photo is one of the last really good pictures I took of him, and it is still the wallpaper on my cell phone.
